100 Black Men of Atlanta will be celebrating 100 Honors on Sept. 8 in order to continue to its Project Success programs that include thousands of dollars in scholarships. According to its website, “through an evening celebration, recognition and entertainment, attendees will experience highlights of the remarkable programs and achievement of the students we support.” The evening’s program will include stories of overcoming adversity and perseverance through difficult times and circumstances to achieve success. The honorees at the event will be rewarded for their excellence and accomplishments, as well as their passion for making a difference in Atlanta’s community. More than 700 people are expected to attend the black-tie event. Awards handed out include the Nathaniel R. Goldston II Trailblazer Award, the Maynard H. Jackson Community Impact Award, the John Lewis Emerging Leader Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award and the 100 Black Men of Atlanta Chairman’s Circle Corporate Responsibility Award. The 100 Honors event tends to draw significant sponsors. Sponsorship packages go as high as $50,000 and as low as $250. For more information, check out www.100blackmen-atlanta.org
