Bill Pickett rodeo celebrates 34 years

Tickets are now on sale for the Los Angeles appearance of The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo. The event celebrates and honors Black cowboys and cowgirls and their contributions to building the West and highlights their irrefutable global appeal and sub-culture that is still strong today.

The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo also serves as a cultural event and opportunity for families to enjoy and embrace the cowboy culture, while being educated and entertained with reenactments, history highlights, and western adventure.

The event will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 22,  at 3:30 p.m. at the Industry Hills Expo Center, located at 16200 Temple Ave., City of Industry.

Spectators will be able to cheer for their favorite competitors during thrilling Calf Ropin’, Bareback Ridin’, Bull Doggin, Ladies Barrel Racin’, Junior Barrel Racin’, Ladies Steer Undecoratin’, and gripping Bull Ridin.’

Tickets for children are $20 advance and $25 at the door. Tickets for adults are $25 advance and $30 at the door. Limited arena seating is also available for $35 advance and $40 at the door.

Patrons are encourage to gather their families, co-workers, scout troops, and other rodeo lovers to take advantage of the discounted rate for groups of 10 or more. Call (310) 674-6700 for discount tickets.
