A woman found dead from at least one gunshot wound in Carson was officially identified earlier this week.

She was Lucrecia Phillips, 46, of Carson, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.

Deputies responding to a “person down/rescue” call at 1:30 a.m. June 16 on the 18200 block of Towne Avenue found the woman suffering from at least one gunshot, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, Koerner said. There was no description of the suspect.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (323) 890-5500.
