Top honor for local school

Congratulations are in order for students and staff at Rancho Vista Elementary School in Lancaster which has been named to the 2017-18 Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll for demonstrating consistent high achievement and student success.

Sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence, the Honor Role is part of a national effort to identify “higher-performing” schools and districts that are improving student outcomes. Westside Union School District was one of 24 public school districts in the state to be recognized.

“Our faculty and staff are committed to lowering the achievement gap by implementing programs and practices that are accelerating student success,” said Regina Rossall, superintendent of the Westside Union School District. “We are pleased that the hard work and dedication at Rancho Vista has translated to positive outcomes for our students.”

Other local schools have also been recognized as an Honor Roll School, including Anaverde Hills, Esperanza Elementary School, Hillview Middle School and Gregg Anderson Academy.
