The city of Palmdale and the Housing Rights Center will host a free housing rights workshop on Thursday, May 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chimbole Cultural Center Joshua Room, 38350 Sierra Hwy., in Palmdale. Admission is free and open to the public.
The free workshop provides information on landlord-tenant rights and responsibilities, the fair housing laws, and what to do if you’re a victim of housing discrimination. It will also address issues such as security deposits, rent increases, evictions, repairs and more.
The Housing Rights Center is a nonprofit agency that works to help provide equal housing access to all residents in the communities it serves. The center assists homebuyers, rental tenants and housing professionals with free counseling services on fair housing law, public education seminars on housing discrimination and landlord/tenant issues.
