A Fullerton man was charged this week with stalking Rihanna and breaking into the singer’s Hollywood Hills home and spending about 12 hours inside.

Eduardo Leon, 26, appeared in a downtown courtroom and pleaded not guilty to one felony count each of stalking, first-degree residential burglary and vandalism and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Bail was set at $160,000 and Leon was ordered to return to court on May 25 for a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial.

Prosecutors allege Leon hopped a fence on May 9 before entering the house. The singer was not home at the time, but her assistant discovered Leon the next day and called police, according to authorities.

Leon allegedly broke into another home a week earlier that he mistakenly believed was the singer’s and was arrested on suspicion of burglary and trespassing, according to TMZ.com.

Sheriff’s department online records show that Leon was arrested May 4 and spent four days in jail before posting $50,000 bail.

If convicted as charged on the latest charges, Leon faces up to six years in prison.
