Accusations against singer R. Kelly reaching alarming point

The pressure for law enforcement to investigate and possibly charge singer R. Kelly is mounting on a national scale. Several women have come forward in recent years to claim they were held captive by the famed singer and used as sexual slaves. Today (May 8), parents of one young woman went on the “Today” show and explained their deparate attempts to “free” their daughter from his circle. Another woman in Texas recently claimed that Kelly not only held her captive, he willingly gave her an STD. Although he is considered a musical genius, there have been rumors he has a dangerous preference for underage girls. It started back in the ‘90s with 15-year-old singer Aaliyah, whom he actually married, although her father eventually had the marriage annulled. At one point, he was on trial in Florida after video surfaced of him having sexual relations with several women, including a 14-year-old girl, which he allegedly urinated on during the session. But the video was unclear and a jury acquitted him. But the rumors of his taste for underage teens continued over the years. Today’s story on national television and recent stories of him being painted as a predator have launched a movement called #MuteRKelly. Also recently, his attorney and his publicist, both of which are women, resigned. This is an ongoing story.
