A white woman, age 71, in Macon, Georgia, is facing assault charges after she verbally and physically assaulted two Black Army women over a parking space, reports CBS News.  According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s report, Judy Tucker told law enforcement the incident went down because she is white and it was about race. Stephanie Mitchell, 34, and Treasure Sharpe, 27, told cops that Tucker’s adult son used foul language and sexist words to insult them over the way they parked outside of a Macon restaurant called Cheddar Scratch. This happened outside, and the situation continued to escalate as the Tuckers followed the two uniformed Black women inside, where the son called them “Black lesbian bihes.” Once inside the restaurant, customers noticed the fray and some began to record it on their cell phones. Video reviewed by police showed the elderly Tucker striking Sharpe in the face. Sharpe says at one point, “I’m pregnant,” and the son says, “Oh really, by her?” Deputies decided that the two young women did nothing wrong and that the Tucker woman was the aggressor. “With all the lunging and slapping happening, it was never shown through cell phone video that Mrs. Mitchell or Mrs. Sharpe did anything wrong,” the police report said. The elderly Tucker woman was arrested and released on $650,000, as she was charged with assault, with more charges pending. The restaurant issued a statement, saying it was “appalled by the behavior of the individual who confronted the two female service members. Such behavior flied in the face of our values and those individuals are no longer welcome in our restaurant.” Watch cell phone footage here.
