State’s Black Business Expo partners with ‘Shark Tank’ in OK City to find next big entrepreneur

The Oklahoma Black Business Expo is teaming up with popular TV show “Shark Tank” to find the area’s next big entrepreneur. The event happens April 14 at the Cox Convention Center. It’s estimated that there are more than 13,000 Black-owned businesses in Oklahoma alone. Casting directors for “Shark Tank” will b hosting a casting call for startup businesses in the area. “It’s time for us to create more together while being honest about the color of people and the color of money, and not just for ourselves but for generations to come,” commented Asa Leveaux, founder of the Black Business Expo and of Leveaux Group Inc., which is sponsoring the expo. No air date for “Shark Tank” that will feature entrepreneurs that will be selected has been released yet.
