Musical tribute to MLK on April 4

The Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference will host on April 4 a free “Remembrance Concert” at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in recognition of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. King was assassinated that day 50 years ago in Memphis, Tenn.

The event will include a special performance of “The Seven Last Words of the Unarmed” by Joel Thompson, highlighted by a performance by the youth orchestra and a 100-member male chorus.
