The city of Carson and Thomas Saran & Associates have announced plans to develop a 51-family development for veterans at the intersection of Figueroa and Carson streets called the Veterans Village of Carson.

A groundbreaking ceremony takes place today at 11 a.m.

We’re happy to once again partner with Thomas Safran & Associates especially on this veterans housing development,” said Carson Mayor Albert Robles. “In Carson we are proud of our tradition of honoring our veterans. We have two parks that are named after veteran residents, Anderson Park and Scott Park, as well as Veterans Park and a Veterans SportsComplex. The City of Carson further honors veterans with special community events each year on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.”

The development will complement the Southern California lifestyle with planned amenities that include 2,500 square feet of commercial space and ground level retail parking. This development is located down the street from Harbor UCLA Medical Center and will offer easy access to both the 405 and 110 freeways for convenient commutes in and around Los Angeles County.
