The Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. East, will celebrate on Jan. 25 the opening of its newest art exhibit titled “Reflections: Photography by Martina Hernandez.”
The exhibit will open with a free reception from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Hernandez will be in attendance to meet and greet attendees and discuss her work.
Palmdale resident Martina Hernandez’s passion for photography began as a member of her high school yearbook staff. Her inspiration for taking pictures comes from a silent expression to capture still moments in time. “Just as musicians, painters, poets and writers seek to evoke feelings, emotions and reactions, as a photographer Hernandez seeks to share these still moments through film and digital mediums,” said Palmdale’s Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro.
“Reflections: Photography by Martina Hernandez” will be on display from Jan. 25 through March 11 in the Palmdale Playhouse.
