While some news sources were reporting that Omarosa Manigault resigned as part of President Donald Trump’s White House staff, others say she was thrown out by the Secret Service and fired. However, White House PR and Trump himself tried to glaze over the incident with a positive spin. But publications such as People magazine said she was “dragged out” in a “drama-filled departure.” People went on to say that she “did not leave the White House voluntarily and had to be physically restrained and escorted off the White House grounds. April Ryan, a Black reporter who is assigned to the White House, also said there was drama surrounding Omarosa’s departure and it included loud cussing on her part. One source told People that Omarosa had become increasingly unhappy with the way the White House has been handling racial issues, and that she was experiencing a lot of pressure as the only African American in Trump’s administration.
