Downtown Lancaster will set the scene tomorrow from 5 to 9 p.m. for the Antelope Valley’s premier winter event, A Magical BLVD Christmas, bringing the enthusiasm and thrills of the holiday season to The BLVD. Attendees of all ages will enjoy this special evening featuring seasonal entertainment, stunning holiday decorations, Christmastime activities, as well as an abundance of holiday cheer.

A Magical BLVD Christmas has been a family favorite since 2010, with activities that have become much-loved traditions for local residents including: taking a captivating journey on the holiday train through brightly-decorated streets; making unique crafts at Santa’s Workshop; eating popcorn while stopping for seasonal movie shorts on Date Avenue; and visiting the petting zoo. The live ice sculpting demonstration features a solid block of ice transformed into a one-of-a-kind holiday work of art. A children’s sledding area—with real snow—will be included.

The annual holiday celebration, located on The BLVD between Beech and Genoa avenues, will again include outstanding entertainment. This year features the Sunday Night Singers who will perform a number of holiday favorites. A spectacular holiday song and dance performance by Fashionate Rhythm and Dance Company will light up the stage on Cedar Avenue.

In addition, the Highland High School Choir; the Palmdale Chamber Singers; the Quartz Hill High School A Cappella Choir; and the Quartz Hill Chamber Singers will perform during the evening on three stages: the BeX Bandstand stage at Ehrlich Avenue; the Cedar stage; and the outdoor stage in front of the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC). Special guests, and singing quartet Just Us will perform their unique blend of holiday classics throughout the evening.

Attendees will also encounter numerous Christmas gift options at the ever-growing Christkindlmarkt, which features crafts, homemade goods, and specialty seasonal items. More than a dozen food vendors will be preparing holiday treats. Coupled with The BLVD’s many unique shops, restaurants, and boutiques, this event offers a great opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts and other holiday goodies.

Each year, the Antelope Valley Transportation Authority (AVTA) hosts its annual “Stuff-a-Bus” holiday gift campaign throughout the valley. Tomorrow, the bus stops on The BLVD, and attendees are invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help a needy family enjoy the holidays.
