In August, 40-year-old Jarred Schmittle attempted to rob a bank in Corona, California, wearing blackface, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept. Police say they went to the scene when a silent alarm went off. Apparently, Schmittle entered the bank and went up to a teller with a note that demanded cash. In the note, he claimed that he was wearing a gun. But he chickened out and ran out of the bank before he got any money. Witnesses told police the man was in blackface, and the video from the crime scene showed the same. Earlier this month, police were finally able to identify Schmittle arrested him at his home in Lake Elsinore.
