A New Way of Life, an organization designed to help former female prison inmates make their way back into society, is holding its 19th Annual Gala on Dec. 3 at the L.A. Hotel Downtown. The affair not only honors people who have worked to make a difference in the community, it also serves as a vehicle to raise money for scholarships. Honors this year go to Benjamin Trump for the Industry Impact Award, Impact Justice for the Movement Builder Award, Sen. Holly J. Mitchell for the Community Champion Award and the A New Way of Life Legal Dept. for the Flozelle Woodmore Memorial Award.
