The Molina Health Center at Compton College provides affordable, quality health care services to all students currently enrolled at the campus.

Students pay $19 per semester for health services as part of their registration fees. The mandatory health care fee provides access to physicals, treatments for colds, flu and ear infections, family planning, health education and more. Students may visit the health center as often as necessary to take care of their health care needs.

The Compton Community College District and the Long Beach-based Molina Medical Clinic, which operates the health center to encourage students to optimize their health by utilizing the convenient medical services that are available to them on campus. According to the National College Health Assessment, stress and illness due to the common cold or flu are the most common causes of academic failure.

“Staying healthy has a huge impact on learning, and students who are mentally and physically well are able to engage more fully in their studies,” says Keith Curry, president of Compton College and CEO of the Compton Community College District. “With today’s health care costs on the rise, the Molina Health Center provides a very important service to Compton College students.”

The health center is located in room M-4 near campus police and the gymnasium. A nurse practitioner and two medical assistants staff the health center from 1 – 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Students may make same-day appointments or walk in to receive health care services.
