The fifth Annual Faith Awards will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m. at the Marriott Marina Del Rey honoring nine individuals selected this year for their ongoing community involvement
Since its inception more than 20 years ago, Faith, Hope and Love Unlimited has inspired and enabled all women of color—especially those from disadvantaged circumstances—to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Through their philanthropic efforts, the Faith Awards were created to showcase individuals that have faced various challenges of life and persevered to reach their goals through their faith.
The honorees this year include actor and drama instructor Richard Lawson, fashion designer Tina Knowles Lawson, cancer survivors Phyllis Meyi and Dannon Green, McDonald’s franchise owners Patricia Williams and her daughters Nicole Enearu and Kerri Harper-Howie, educator Dr. Cyrell Williams, and mental health advocate Paris St. John.
“We are in our fifth year. I’m in awe of God’s favor of faithfulness when you trust and believe in your dreams. This milestone event will highlight our extraordinary honorees, showcase inspiring performances, and empower us to move through life using our positive energy,” said Hope Williams, founder of Faith, Hope and Love Unlimited Inc.
The breakfast event will include appearances by Ervin Pope of Furnace, artist Norwood Young, spoken-word artist Evelyn Boswell, beauty expert Mikki Taylor (a previous honoree), and life coach Reggie McKiver who will speak on a variety of health and wellness topics.
Tickets are $100.00 each, must be purchased prior to Sept. 15, and are available online at www.faithhopeandloveunlimited.com. Sponsorships and ad space on the digital souvenir journal are still available. A portion of the proceeds will benefit charities supported by Faith, Hope and Love Unlimited. The Marriott Marina Del Rey is located at 4100 Admiralty Way.
