Get ready for fun, friends and plenty of food tomorrow when the Antelope Valley Fair’s Livestock Council hosts its 8th annual “Barn Bash Barbecue and Auction.” The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the H.W. Hunter Pavilion at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, 2551 West Ave. H in Lancaster.
After the games and music, the barbecue dinner will be served at 6 p.m. featuring pulled-pork sandwiches, chicken, beans, salad and soft drinks. The silent and live auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Over the years, the event has contributed funding for numerous barn improvements at the fairgrounds such as new poultry cages, repair and repainting of pig pens, refurbishment of the auction stand and general improvements to the arena, and new cooling systems in livestock barns.
Advanced tickets, $10, may be purchased at the fairgrounds’ exhibit entry or administrative offices. You can also purchase a ticket tomorrow evening for $12.
