ID sought in Lancaster homicide

Authorities this week identified a man who was fatally shot in Lancaster. The shooting occurred at 7:10 p.m. June 4 in the 1100 block of Cambridge Court, said Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Andre Anderson, 37, of Lancaster died at a hospital, according to the coroner’s office and the sheriff’s department.

Anderson was standing with several people outside a house when someone opened fire into the group, the sheriff’s department reported.

A man who suffered an arm wound was treated at a hospital, and was expected to make a full recovery, the sheriff’s department reported.

In Palmdale, authorities made a second identification this week of a man who was fatally shot when he got out of his vehicle during a dispute with occupants of another car. Armando Reyes, 29, of Palmdale, was shot about 5:50 p.m. June 4 in the 5500 block of Laurel Avenue. According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s office, after being shot, Reyes was able to drive to the 37000 block of Julian Lane where he died. The suspects reportedly fled in a light-colored sedan, said Deputy Kelvin Moody of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
