The coroner’s office today released the name of a man killed when an altercation turned into a shooting in Koreatown.

He was Miguel Ramos, 21, of Los Angeles, according to coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz.

It was reported at 8:15 p.m. May 28 at 401 South Vermont Ave., said Lt. Hamed Mohamadi of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Station.

“An altercation occurred in a parking lot,” Mohamadi said. The suspect then shot two men.

Both were taken to hospitals where Ramos was pronounced dead and the other had stable vital signs, he said.
