A private religious school located in the 2900 block of West Slauson is working with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office to stop the operation of a marijuana dispensary which employees fully armed security dressed in bullet-proof vests.

Students attending the Kindergarten through eighth grade school alerted school officials to the dispensary, which principal Azizah Ali Regan said is operating about 20 feet form Islah Academy.

According to the law firm retained by the school, Gallinger Law in Anaheim Hills, they are working with the city attorney office of Los Angeles to determine all the facts in the case.

These include knowing when the school opened; whether the dispensary was focused on selling medical marijuana, when it started and other details.
