Six free “Music in the Park” events will take place on alternate Thursdays this summer at Palmdale’s Poncitlan Square, located at 9th Street East between avenues Q-9 and Q-10. The concerts will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. from July 7 through Sept. 15.
“We’re inviting residents to enjoy our beautiful summer evenings in Palmdale with some great music and camaraderie at Poncitlan Square,” said Keri Smith, Palmdale director of recreation and culture.
The schedule will include: Lorena Mackey & The Hi-Lites (R&B), July 7; Runaway (country), July 21; Tesserae (R&B), Aug. 4; CooperHill (rock ‘n roll), Aug. 18; Boulevard Knights (Latin rock), Sept. 1, and Jimmy Long (pop/folk), Sept. 15.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, food and non-alcoholic beverages.
