Today at Warren Lane Elementary School, the LA Clippers Foundation, Vision To Learn and the Inglewood School District will announce that their partnership has successfully provided glasses to every child in the Inglewood School District, from pre-school through high school.
The partnership was launched in January 2016, and in just five months more than 12,000 students were screened and 1,420 received glasses. When the final pair of glasses is distributed today, Inglewood will become the first community of its size in the nation to solve the problem for vision care for children.
LA Clipper President Gillian Zucker and Dr. Vincent Matthews, state administrator, Inglewood Unified School District, will speak at the event.
