Gunshot victim found in Malibu

Authorities today said a man found dead from a gunshot wound on a mountain road near Malibu was from Las Vegas. Sheriff’s personnel were sent about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to Piuma Road and Costa de la Sol Way to investigate the fatality, according to Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.The man was identified as 33-year-old John Reynolds, coroner’s Capt. John Kades said. It was unclear if the man was the victim of a homicide, Navarro-Suarez said. An autopsy was pending.
