A search was underway today for the gunman who killed a man in a drive-by shooting in Carson, authorities said. The shooting took place about 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of East Gladwick Avenue, said sheriff’s Deputy Kelvin Moody. Witnesses told deputies the victim was walking down the street when a man drove up in a two-door car, stopped, jumped out, fired at the victim, got back into the vehicle and drove away, Moody said. The victim died at the scene. His name was withheld pending family notification. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
