The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped four-tenths of a cent today to $2.837, the seventh consecutive decrease after rising 10 times in 12 days. The average price has dropped 2.5 cents over the past seven days, including a half-cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and $1.016 lower than one year ago. The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $2.81,

the seventh decrease in eight days. The average price is 2.9 cents less than one week ago, 2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.047 below what it was one year ago.
