Death investigation in Lancaster

An investigation is ongoing to determine what killed a man whose body was found inside a parked car in Lancaster.

The body was discovered by deputies from the sheriff’s Lancaster station, after they looked inside a car that had been parked a considerable amount of time, said Deputy Trina Schrader.

The man’s name has been withheld until his identification is determined and family members have been notified, according to authorities.

The body was found near 110th Street East and East Avenue H about 3 p.m. Tuesday, said Deputy Kimberly Alexander. It’s unknown how long the body was inside the car.

The cause of death will be determined in an autopsy, the coroner’s office said.
