Four people were injured, two of them seriously, this week in a home invasion robbery in Palmdale carried out by three intruders and a getaway driver.

The break-in took place at a home at 38227 Meadow Lane about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, said sheriff’s Lt. Brian Dunn, watch commander at the Palmdale Station.

“One of the suspects knocked on the door, and it was answered by a woman inside,” Dunn said. “When she opened the door, the first suspect slammed her in the face with a pistol, knocking her down.

“The suspect then pushed open the door and he and two others ran in,” Dunn said. “The suspects ordered everyone down on the ground then pistol-whipped a second man inside the home, and then a third man, who had some medical problems and had trouble getting off the couch. He was hit on the head with a gun.

‘A fourth victim then heard the commotion and came out from one of the bedrooms, Dunn said. “That man was also pistol-whipped by one of thesuspects.”

With all four people on the ground, Dunn said, the suspects proceeded to ransack the house.

“They stole money—but we’re not giving out a total—a laptop, jewelry and a gold chain,” Dunn said. “They also took some bottles of alcohol, some clothes and some shoes.”

The three men then ran from the house to a purple or dark blue SUV which was being driven by a fourth suspect. The four robbers then headed west from the house and disappeared from sight, Dunn added.

Two of the victims—a man and the woman—were transported to a hospital and were listed in fair condition, according to the sheriff’s department. The other two victims were treated at the scene.

The victims were pretty shaken by the experience and unable to give investigators a description of the suspects, other than they were men, Dunn said.

Anyone with information on this robbery crew was asked to call the sheriff’s Palmdale station at (661) 272-2400. All tips can be submitted anonymously.
