The city of Palmdale, in conjunction with Lucy Pet Foundation, on Feb. 21 will offer a low-cost spay, neuter and pet vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Development Services department 38250 Sierra Hwy. The location is at the corner of Avenue Q-11.

Spay and neuter pricing will be $60 for cats and $100 for dogs. Low-income residents may qualify for a $50 voucher. The price will include a physical examination by a licensed veterinarian, surgery and pain medications (if needed) and a follow-up phone call. There will be vaccinations for rabies and, if desired, installation of a pet microchip.

“Our shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with animals that need homes and, unfortunately, many will never find one,” said Kery German, Palmdale crime prevention officer.

Appointments can be made at (855) 499-LUCY (5829), or by email at info@lucypetfoundation.org. No appointment is needed for vaccinations.
