A Palmdale man was sentenced this week to 270 years to life in prison for sexually abusing two girls related to his girlfriend.

The Los Angeles Country District Attorney announced that Jeffrey Lee Thomas, 52, was convicted on two counts of lewd act upon a child and one count of continuous sexual abuse. Thomas in 2002 was ordered to register as a sex offender after being convicted of two counts of lewd acts upon a child and one count of forcible lewd act upon a child.

The two victims involved in this week’s sentencing were aged 8 and 13 and were abused for as long as two years beginning in 2010. Witness testimony revealed that Thomas was in a relationship with a Palmdale woman and soon began sexually molesting her two daughters. The abuse was uncovered after the youngest girl told a medical professional what had been happening.
