The actress who played a young Tina Turner in the 1993 film “What’s Love Got to Do With It” is suing her parents, alleging they stole money from her and spread rumors that she has AIDS and is involved in pornography.

Rae’Ven Larrymore Kelly filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 20 against Kevin Kelly and Phyllis Larrymore-Kelly. The suit’s allegations include fraudulent and negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment and defamation. She seeks unspecified damages. A representative for Kelly’s parents could not be immediately reached.

The suit alleges that Kelly has seen little of the $1 million she has made during her lifetime from her film work because “her parents used her income as their personal slush fund to subsidize their own lifestyle and expenses and to invest in their own projects.”

When Kelly demanded that her mother, who also has acted as her business manager, provide an accounting and a return of her money, the woman responded by saying, ‘I should have aborted you,” the suit states.

Kelly’s parents told her that her fiance, Sean Dinwoodie, is gay and a porn producer, the suit alleges. The suit states the couple’s dislike of Dinwoodie may be based on the fact that they and their daughter are Black, and he is White.

Kelly’s parents also told the actress’ hairdresser that she is “performing in pornographic videos” and told friends and relatives that she has AIDS, the suit states.

The couple also told a family friend that their daughter is “doing illegal drugs,” the suit states.

The 29-year-old Kelly also had roles in the film “A Time to Kill,” which featured Samuel L. Jackson and Sandra Bullock, and in the Sam Waterston television series “Ill Fly Away.”
