The LA Sparks have a lot of new and gifted players on their training roster this year, as well as a new coaching staff.  Media day was on Thursday, May 21, at the USC Galen Center.

Brain Agler is the new head coach of the team. Agler coached the Seattle Storm leading them to a championship in 2010.

The Sparks have several new players ready to jon the roster. Temeka Johnson #2, who played for Seattle Storm last year, has now signed a contract with the LA Sparks. Erin Phillips #31, a two-time WNBA champion has also signed with the team.

Despite a promising training camp roster and new faces, the LA Sparks will start the season without their two veteran players—Candice Parker and Kristi Toliver, who are playing overseas. However, Nneka Ogwumike #30, Jantel Lavender #42 and Farhiya Abdi #13 are moving forward to prepare to bring home a long awaited WNBA Championship to Los Angeles.
