Knight speaks at veterans fundraiser

Rep. Steve Knight will speak tomorrow at a fundraiser presented by both the Job’s Daughters International, Bethel 209, and the Lancaster Masonic Lodge No. 347. The event, held to unveil the second phase of the F-100 Commemorative Sidewalk, will take place at the William J. “Pete” Knight Veterans Home at 45221 30th Street West in Lancaster.

The veterans home is raising money for projects that will benefit residents of the facility and veterans throughout the Antelope Valley. They are selling commemorative bricks which will surround the area where an F-100 Super Saber jet aircraft will be displayed. Knight will address attendees about the importance of providing veterans with respect and quality service.

The event is open to the public and meals will be $10 per person. Veterans will pay no price for the barbecue meal which will be provided by the Job’s Daughters International andd the Lancaster Masonic Lodge.

Knight represents California’s 25th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, which includes communities throughout the Antelope, Santa Clarita and Simi valleys.
