America’s most famous animal expert and zookeeper, Jack Hanna, will appear tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center.

Hanna will bring his three-time Emmy Award-winning series to the live stage with the theme “Into The Wild Live!” that will feature a spectacular array of animals from nearly every continent, including a kangaroo, a baby tiger, a two-toed sloth and a penguin. Hanna will also share humorous stories and amazing footage from his adventures around the world from Africa, the Amazon, Antarctica and beyond.

Often called “Jungle Jack,” Hanna has made countless television appearances on shows such as “Good Morning America” “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” He has hosted his own television shows, including “Animal Adventures” and, currently in production, the Emmy Award-winning “Into the Wild.” His popular “Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown” is seen nationwide on Saturday mornings on ABC television.

“Into The Wild” received the Outstanding Children’s Series Emmy in 2008, 2012 and in 2013.

Jack Hanna began his life’s passion at age 11 by working with the family’s veterinarian in Knoxville, Tenn. It was there that he fell in love with animals and developed a deep, abiding respect for them. After graduating from college, Hanna and wife opened a pet shop and he was soon offered a position as the director for a small zoo in Florida. By 1978 he was the director for the Columbus Zoo in Ohio.
