To celebrate and raise awareness of the Antelope Valley’s rising-star-status within the entertainment industry, the city of Lancaster, in partnership with AV BizPro and the Antelope Valley Film Office, will host AV Hollywood Days on October 2 from 5–9 p.m., in conjunction with The BLVD Farmers Market.

While perusing the fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market, residents and families will have the opportunity to watch the Groat Family Wild West Show, a Western-themed stunt show which will take place on The BLVD next to Lancaster’s Museum of Art and History (MOAH), from 5–6 p.m.

From 5–9 p.m., those interested in learning more about the film and television industry will have the opportunity to speak with industry professionals in MOAH’s third floor Lantern room. Film and television production students are highly encouraged to attend, as the event will provide networking opportunities and insight into what it takes to succeed in this competitive industry.

In addition to providing locals with valuable tools and lessons for getting involved in the entertainment industry, AV Hollywood Days will provide industry professionals increased opportunities to get more involved in the Antelope Valley. The AV Film Office will be conducting an exclusive two-day tour for location scouts, which will acquaint them with The BLVD, the recently renovated Cedar Center, as well as many other uniquely-Antelope Valley sites.

“Attracting business is always a top priority here at the city of Lancaster,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “Our close proximity to the entertainment capital of the world, coupled with our vast amount of popular and versatile locations, make the Antelope Valley a great resource for this ever-expanding industry. I encourage all residents to join us as we bring Hollywood to the Antelope Valley.”

Attendance to AV Hollywood Days is free and open to the public. For additional information, contact Patti Garibay at (661)723-6072.
