Palmdale begins bus excursion season

The city of Palmdale is kicking off its winter/spring series of bus excursions with a trip to the 65th Grand National Roadster Show on Saturday, Jan 25.

The Grand National Roadster Show is the longest running indoor car show in the world. Competitors roar into town with the finest roadsters in the country, vying for the coveted “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster” award. This show features more than 500 roadsters, customs, hot rods, and motorcycles competing for top awards, as well as live entertainment throughout the day.

Tickets are $23 for Palmdale residents and $28 for non-residents. Participants may register in advance online at www.cityofpalmdale.org, in-person at Palmdale’s recreation and culture office located at 38260 10th St. East, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All buses meet at Palmdale Transportation Center, 39000 Clock Tower Plaza. The name of each person attending, address, phone number, emergency contact, and each minor child’s birth date are required. An adult must accompany anyone under age 18.

The city requires a minimum of 20 registrants for an excursion to take place. Individuals who wish to purchase more than eight tickets for any one trip must contact the excursion supervisor. Cancellations must be made two weeks in advance of excursion.
