L.A. Zoo. Children can participate in the Bunny’s Spring Fling at the L.A. Zoo and Botanical Gardens March 29, 30 and 31 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 5333 Zoo Drive, Los Angeles. Kids can make easter crafts, pet bunnies and have their photo taken (for a fee) with Big Bunny and other cartoon characters. First AME Church of Los Angeles will hold a Good Friday service from noon-3 p.m. at the church, 2270 S. Harvard Blvd., Los Angeles.

Faithful Central Bible Church hosts the Good Friday Service, “Praise and Power in the Garden,” from 7-9 p.m at 321 N. Eucalyptus Ave., Inglewood. The evening features performers Vashawn Mitchell and Leandria Johnson.

Blessing of the Animals. The Merchants of Olvera Street and a cow decorated with flowers lead a procession of gaily decorated animals past a priest delivering the annual free blessing of the animals at Olvera Street. The procession begins at 2 p.m and continues until 5. Animals and their owners assemble on the north side of the plaza. El Pueblo Historic Park at Olvera Street, located between North Main and North Alameda streets and Ceasar Chavez Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. City of Los Angeles Park and Recreation hosts a free Pershing Square community egg hunt, including prizes, poetry and storytelling, arts and crafts, children’s entertainment and jumpers. Hollywood Bowl. Easter service at the Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Ave., Los Angeles, begins at 11 a.m. and will feature a worship choir, orchestra, band and guest speaker Francis Chan, best-selling author of “Crazy Love.” Admission is free.

New City Church hosts a free outdoor festival, L.A. Easter Rest at Grand Hope Park from noon to 3 p.m., at West 9th and Hope streets in Downtown L.A. The event includes Easter arts and crafts, face painting, races and games, a bounce house, food and drink and an Easter egg hunt with thousands of eggs. West Angeles Church of God in Christ presents its Easter production, “Revelation of Redemption” at 8 and 11 a.m. in the cathedral, 3045 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles. The program will feature the theater group, the dance ministry and musical choirs. A free mini Easter concert will also be held at 7 p.m. at the North Campus.
