L.A. tourism chief

The Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board has named Ernest Wooden Jr. its new president and CEO. A former Hilton Hotels executive, the Brooklyn, N.Y., native succeeds Mark Liberman. At Hilton, he led worldwide branding initiatives, working with 3,000 properties in 80 countries. Based out of Beverly Hills since 1999, he is also chief executive of the Creative Consulting, according to the convention board.
