Sheriff’s deputies identified a man who was fatally shot in Compton while sitting in a car with another man and a 10-month-old baby.

Charley Ford, 24, was fatally shot in the 2100 block of Wilmington Avenue about 4:30 p.m. Sunday and later declared dead at a hospital, according to deputies with the sheriff’s headquarters bureau.
