Nine students at Ambler Elementary and Gifted Magnet in Carson scored perfect 600s on the math portion of the California Standards Tests. Six of the students are pictured here. Tyler Thornton, fifth grade; Christian Valdovinos and Zion Oden, both sixth grade, were unable to attend. Ambler set a goal to increase its API score from 790 to 800. It exceeded its goal and raised its API to 835. The school celebrated the improved score on Monday.
