Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry was taken to a hospital after falling and striking her head on concrete during a film shoot but was released once her injury was determined to be minor, it was reported today.

The 45-year-old Academy Award-winner fell around 10 p.m. Tuesday and was rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to the celebrity news website TMZ.com.

Berry was shooting the Brad Anderson-directed thriller “The Hive,” in which she plays a 911 operator trying to save a girl’s life, when she fell, according to TMZ. The set was shut down after the mishap, according to the website X17online.com.

“She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released,” publicist Meredith O’Sullivan said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times, reporting that Berry suffered a “minor head injury.”

“She’ll continue production as planned,” she said.

Berry has been hurt on film sets before. She broke her arm while filming Gothika in 2003, was hospitalized in 2004 after being struck on the head with lighting equipment on the set of “Catwoman,” and injured her eye in 2002 while playing a Bond girl in “Die Another Day.”
