Emerging singer Alori Joh’s musical journey ended last week when the vocalist, known for her staple contributions to Top Dawg affiliated projects, took her own life at 25 years old.

Joh, whose real name was Loriana Johnson, was featured on songs such as Kendrick Lamar’s popular single “Hiiipower,” SchoolBoy Q’s “Phenomenon” and a AB-Soul’s “Euphoria.” Joh’s collaborations with the label sprang from her close friendship with AB-Soul, with whom she began working musically when they were teenagers.

In one of her last interviews, Joh said that she was working on new music and was looking forward to releasing her own projects.

Memorial services for “Alori Joh” Johnson will be held tomorrow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road., Whittier, Calif., at 11 a.m.
