Singers Marsha Ambrosius, Betty Wright featured at Savoy Entertainment Center

The Savoy Entertainment Center will host a pre-Grammy weekend with nominees, Marsha Ambrosius, formerly of Floetry, and Betty Wright, on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10 and 11, at the Center, 218 S. La Brea Ave., Inglewood, CA 90301.

Ambrosius, a talented, sought-after songwriter and revered platinum-selling artist as part of the musical duo Floetry, reinvented herself as a solo artist with her debut disc, “Late Nights & Early Mornings.” She will make a special guest-hosting appearance at the Savoy’s Welcome to L.A. Party for all celebrity attendees and fans on Friday, Feb. 10. Doors open at 8 p.m. and admission is free.

On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Savoy will present Wright, a Grammy-winning soul and R&B singer-songwriter, who won fame in the 1970s with such hits as “Clean Up Woman” and “Tonight Is the Night.” Wright will share a special pre-Grammy listening party of her new disc with “The Roots: The Betty Wright Movie.”  Doors open at 9 p.m.
