LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A racially divided fight among about two dozen Los Angeles County inmates left several recovering from injuries today.

The fight between black and Hispanic inmates from five holding modules
on the second floor of Men’s Central Jail, 441 S. Bauchet St., occurred
sometime Friday night, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Deputies responding from the neighboring Twin Towers jail used pepper
spray and stun guns to subdue the fighting inmates, and seven were taken to
hospitals, the newspaper reported. Twenty-two other inmates were treated in a
jail clinic.
