LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A vandal fired a pellet gun into the Westchester office of President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, shattering windows and a glass door but causing no injuries among the four people inside, police said today.

Officers went to the office in the 6700 block of South Centinela Avenue near the San Diego (405) Freeway around 7:25 p.m. Thursday in response to a report of glass breaking, said Officer Sara Faden, a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.

“There were four campaign workers in a back part of the offices and they heard the noise of glass. When they went to the front, they saw the glass with pellet gunshots in it,” added Sgt. Richard Parks of the department’s Pacific Station.

“Someone used a pellet gun and broke several windows and a glass door,” he said.    An LAPD investigation was under way. There were no immediate arrests.
