HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.–The Ocean View Little League All-Stars from Huntington Beach are scheduled to face the Billings Big Sky Little League All-Stars from Billings, Mont., Saturday in the U.S. Championship of the 65th Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pa.

Ocean View earned its spot in the U.S Championship by defeating the Keystone Little League All-Stars from Clinton County, Pa., 2-0, Thursday, as Hagen Danner pitched a three-hitter, struck out 12 batters over 5 1/3 innings and hit a solo home run.

Saturday’s game is scheduled to begin at noon and be televised by ABC.

It is a rematch of Billings Big Sky’s 1-0, seven-inning victory Wednesday that ended Ocean View’s 14-game winning streak.

Ocean View, the West Region champion, has outscored its four World Series opponents, 23-1.

Two Orange County teams have won the U.S. Championship–the Northwood Little League All-Stars from Irvine in 1987 and the South Mission Viejo Little League All-Stars in 1997.

Billings Big Sky, the Northwest Region champion, is the first team from Montana to play in the Little League World Series.

The U.S. winner will play the international champion for the Little League World Series championship in a game scheduled for Sunday, while the losers of the U.S. and international finals will play for third place.

An Orange County team has never won the Little League World Series.

Viewing parties are scheduled at the following locations: Suds Sports Grill, 5932 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach; First Class Pizza, 18671 Brookhurst St., Fountain Valley; Lamppost Pizza, 7071 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach; and Mahe, 1400 Pacific Coast Highway, Seal Beach.
