LOS ANGELES, Calif.–A 15-year-old Indian boy who disappeared June 23 during an educational visit to Los Angeles was found in Merced and is OK, police said today.
Lovedeep Singh was last seen near the Radisson Hotel in the 3500 block of South Figueroa Street, adjacent to USC, about 8:30 a.m. on June 23, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Singh became separated from his tour group, and police sought public help to find him.
The teen was found unharmed Wednesday in Merced, said LAPD Detective Gus Villanueva of the Media Relations office.
It was unclear how he got there. No foul play was suspected in the disappearance, Villanueva said. Arrangements were being made via the Indian consulate to return him to his family in India, Villanueva said.
