SIGNAL HILL, Calif.–A man arrested for sneaking into a Signal Hill home and getting into bed with a 10-year-old girl was identified today as a 24-year-old Whittier man.

Sergio Osuna, who apparently was drunk, was arrested at a home in the 1900 block of Cherry Avenue about 2:20 a.m. Sunday–wearing only boxers, according to police spokeswoman Crista Martinez. He was booked on suspicion of burglary and child annoyance, she said.

The girl’s 15-year-old brother called police, and a neighbor helped the man of the house hold Osuna for police, she said.

“When I got up I was like–‘Who is this?” the girl told CBS2. She said she didn’t hear Osuna come in, and “the only thing I knew is that he was laying on my bed, facing me.”

Her father was stunned.

“I wake up and I see the guy close to my daughter,” he said. “I see the guy only in boxers, close to my daughter and say ‘What the hell?”‘

Osuna pleaded to be let go, he said.

“I’m sorry for the guy, but it’s my daughter,” he told Channel 2.

Osuna, who smelled of alcohol, reached through an open window to open the front door, Martinez said. She said he had no criminal record and is not a registered sex offender.
