What separates successful businesses from their counterparts?

Simply put, the successful ones have insight into the overall economy, their industries and how they fit into the mix, said Attorney Shaune Arnold.

How can more business owners join these ranks and ensure the success of their ventures? The answer, she said, is education.

“Ours is a semester-long educational forum that will teach entrepreneurs how to conceptualize, organize, brand and market, operate, and ultimately profit from a successful business,” according to Arnold, founder of Platinum Tower LLC, which is offering a 12-week Hardcore Business Boot Camp.

“This boot camp is the culmination of my 17 years of experience practicing business law,” she said.

“I’ve known my business partner, Stephanie Ardrey, more than 20 years and during that time watched her profit from a series of successful businesses.” Together we have developed a special and extremely comprehensive business course that will empower people get into business and stay in business for the long haul.”

The boot camp launches Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Building in Culver City, with a one-day mini-business boot camp. This full-day seminar is intended to showcase the full 12-Week Hardcore Business Boot Camp, which begins Sept. 3.

“We want people to come out and see the real value that we are providing, and to consider taking the full course,” said Arnold.

Saturday participants will discover how to navigate corporate organizational and accounting issues, and learn the components of a winning business plan. They’ll hear the secrets to effective business and personal branding, and how to maximize social media to increase their business’ presence in the marketplace. They’ll also learn how to obtain up to $100,000 in business credit in just a few weeks.

Arnold said her mentor, well-known motivational speaker, Les Brown, will open the one-day mini-boot camp.

“I came to L.A. in January to do my new radio show, and fell in love with the place,” said Brown, who appears on radio station KFWB NewsTalk 980 each weekday, from 2 to 4 p.m. “I’m looking forward to collaborating in the community, especially with young people. We need to pour into their lives.”

“Les Brown often says that knowledge is the new currency,” she said. “He’s absolutely right.” Details on the one-day camp, and the full 12-week course can be found at www.businessbootcamponline.com.
